I'm Shani Amelia Lane. 

I was born in Cardiff in November 1991. My family originate from Wales, the Caribbean and Pakistan, making me a quarter white, quarter black and half asian. 

​Growing up, I have regularly moved home and school across England and Wales, and as a result I love moving! I enjoy making new friends, exploring new places and grabbing new opportunities. 

In summer 2013 I entered and won a (hair and beauty) competition show on channel 5 called Celebrity Super Spa. This was an amazing experience and it taught me a lot about myself and the career path I'd like to follow. I have always been very creative and make-up in particular is a way for me to express this.

After the show I decided to have more faith in myself and to aim higher, which brings me to my next venture... 

I am currently a finalist in Miss Universe GB 2014 and I'm so excited because I would love to be a positive role model to young women (Also, I get to go dress shopping!) Its an amazing opportunity for me and stepping stone to all the great things I hope to achieve in the future, please show your support!
